ルーシーという女の子がスヌーピーにたいして以下のような問いをします。

「SOMETIMES I WONDER HOW YOU CAN STAND BEING JUST A DOG..」（時々，あなたはどうして犬なんかでいられるのかと思うわ…）

それに対してスヌーピーは以下のように考えます。

「YOU PLAY WITH THE CARDS YOU’RE DEALT」 （配られたカードで勝負するっきゃないのさ）
「WHATEVER THAT MEANS」（それがどういう意味であれ）
